Q: When did the camps start?
A: Bernie started the camps in 1983 under the name, "Fred Meyer Soccer Camps." The name changed to "Bernie Fagan Soccer Camps" in 1996.
Q: What is the coach to camper ratio?
A: To offer the best instruction and most fun for the kids, there is 1 coach to every 12-16 kids.
Q: Who are the coaches and how are they selected?
A: Bernie personally selects his camp staff which is comprised of former professional players, college coaches, high school coaches, and college players. This offers your child a more mature and professional level coach.
Your child's enjoyment and safety are the priority. All camp staff have completed camp training and background checks.
Q: What does my child need to bring.
A: For each camp, your child needs to bring a water bottle, shin guards, and sunscreen. In addition to the items listed, Day Campers also need to bring a lunch daily; Academy Training Center and Tryout Readiness Campers also need to bring a ball daily.
Q: What will my child receive?
A: Along with outstanding soccer instruction, your child receives a Nike camp t-shirt, and prizes. Each group has a "Camper of the Week" award winner and each camp has an "Overall Camper of the Week" award winner.
Q: Can my child be in a group with their friends?
A: Yes. On the first day of camps, kids are assigned according to age and gender. By the first afternoon, groups are rearranged according to skill level. If your child would like to be in a different group have them ask the coach and they will accommodate your child!
Q: Can I drop my child off early or pick them up late?
A: Our camp staff arrives 30 minutes prior to the start of camps and can assist you with early drop-offs. However, each child must be picked up at designated camp ending time.
